To the Rease Family:
It was my good fortune to have met Ms. Alma L. Rease over 40 years ago. There aren’t enough positive adjectives in any language to describe this loving, strong, and remarkable woman, mother, and grandmother.
In life, she touched my heart and impacted my life with a few well-chosen words of wisdom and encouragement some 41 years ago. These same words, I have carried with me throughout my adult life and have also passed down to my own children and grandchildren.
Unfortunately, I never had to opportunity to tell her about the impact those few and simple words had on my life. Sometimes life just gets in the way of us relating to our loved ones just how much they have meant to us. But there’s season for everything and this is my season to honor a woman who made a monumental difference in my life so many years ago.
Heaven has gained a new star and angel. And I was truly blessed to have known her. She personified the essence of what and how God’s people are supposed to live and act.
Her legacy of love and light will live on so long as we hold her in hearts, thoughts, and prayers. And thank God, I am the woman, mother, and grandmother I am today because of who she once was in my yesterday.
To the Rease family…I’m praying for God’s strength, comfort, and peace to see you through this time of great sorrow. This is a devastating loss for all those who truly knew her.

Giving God Thanks for everything
God didn’t promise days without rain, God did promise strength for the
day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.
My family and I will always Thank God for the years we have known Mrs. Alma Rease. I had to be about 10 or 11 years old when our family met the Reases. As we grew our friendship grew. At every stage of life, she was there giving wisdom, knowledge and understanding. She always wanted you to do your best. If you were close to her, she would tell you about her life to help you make the right decision. I will never be able to tell her story in a day because the more I think about her the more I remember.
Ronnie, Chandra, Tony and grandkids, she loved you all. To family and friends I know we have a special place in her heart.
Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on
Cherished memories never fade because a loved one is gone
Those we love never be more than a thought apart
For as long as there are memories, they’ll live on in our hearts.
